While we’re busy catching up on all the Division I madness ahead of March, a Division III team has been quietly putting together a historic run. NYU now stands alone atop the Division III women’s basketball record books with 82 consecutive victories.
The Violets secured the record with a 69–58 win over Carnegie Mellon on Sunday, breaking the previous mark of 81 straight set by rival Washington University of St. Louis between 1998 and 2001.
