A’ja Wilson Issues Clear Playoff Signal - LITE

September 12, 2025 | LITE Edition: #60

👋 Hey, Hoophead!
After giving the WNBA a season for the books, the expansion squad ended up holding the fate of four teams: their own, plus Las Vegas, Indiana, and Atlanta. Well, technically not just them, but the Aces, too. And the much-awaited showdown finally wrapped up in a Valkyries loss, which sealed the playoff seedings. The Aces officially moved up to the No. 2 seed, the Dream slipped to No. 3, the Valks also dropped to No. 8, and the Fever locked in No. 6.

Now, sure, everyone’s heading into the postseason with extra fire, but nobody’s hotter than Vegas. With sixteen straight wins, the Aces are peaking at just the right time, and A’ja Wilson might have dropped the sharpest words yet to warn her rivals.

The past few days have left many fans thinking Angel’s days in Chicago are numbered, while others believe this was just a blip. Where do you stand?

The Las Vegas Aces closed the regular season on a 16-game win streak. They’re now just three wins away from breaking the all-time record of 18 straight, set by the Los Angeles Sparks (who pulled it off twice in the early 2000s). The Aces open the playoffs against Seattle, and if they sweep the first two games, they’ll get a shot at history at home, against either the Atlanta Dream or Indiana Fever.
