Hey, Hoophead!
College and pro hoopers kept the energy unpredictable this week. On one end, the league’s biggest names stirred up fresh debate, turning a familiar rivalry into headline fuel. On the other, major off-court moves had stars stepping into entirely new arenas.
And before we get to the stories that are heating up the league, we have a milestone of our own to celebrate: it’s our 100th edition! Without your incredible support, we never would have made it here. Thank you for being the best community we could ask for.

Aces HC Gets Honest on Caitlin Clark vs A'ja Wilson Debate |
Becky Hammon weighs in on the long-running debate around the two stars, candidly naming who she believes is the better player. |

A’ja Wilson has given everything to the game as a 3x WNBA Champion and 2x MVP. Caitlin Clark, meanwhile, is credited with driving today’s surge in audiences, viewership, and revenue. Both have shaped the league in major ways. So…
Who Do You Think Stands as the Defining Star of the WNBA? |
Monday’s Poll Result: Nearly 68% of you believe Sarah Strong could surpass Paige Bueckers as the top Husky in recent history.

On November 18, 2018, at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon, Sabrina Ionescu notched the 12th triple-double of her college career in Oregon’s 102–82 win over Buffalo. A 12-point, 10-assist, 10-rebound night that read like a stat-sheet mic drop.
That 12th triple-double didn’t just pad Sab’s resume, it tied the NCAA Division-I career mark of 12 set by BYU’s Kyle Collinsworth, a clear sign that Ionescu was carving out a place in the record book with the quiet, workmanlike relentlessness that defines her game.
If you remember anything about that stretch, it wasn’t flash so much as inevitability: Sab’s court vision, rebounding from the wing and ability to make others better kept showing up in every quarter until the numbers added up. And of course she didn’t stop there. A month later she pushed past Collinsworth’s mark and set the new all-time Division I triple-double record.
On this day, we lift our hat to the kind of stat-stuffing that feels more like leadership than box-score chasing. 🎩
