On November 11, 2002, everyone’s favorite Azzi Fudd was born in Fairfax. A superstar from the start, she attended St. John’s College High School in D.C., earning Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year honors in 2019 and finishing as the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2021.
Despite injuries derailing her first three college seasons, including a redshirt in 2023‑24, Fudd gave glimpses of her brilliance with several standout performances.
She returned in November 2024 stronger than ever, helping the Huskies win their first title in eight years and earning Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors. Check out her best plays from the NCAA Tournament.
Now in her senior year, we hope that she can continue the trend of great college stars taking the WNBA by storm next year.
Happy Birthday, Azzi! 🎉
