Friday’s Result: Almost 57% of you were correct about the Las Vegas Aces taking the W in Game 1 of the Finals.

On October 5, 2011, Atlanta Dream star Angel McCoughtry made WNBA history by scoring 38 points in the Finals Game 2 loss against the Lynx. It’s the most points scored in a Finals game, a record that still stands today. Given that McCoughtry was in the midst of the best season of her career, this didn’t come as a surprise. She led the Dream to a 20–14 record and secured their second trip to the WNBA Finals following the team’s expansion in 2008. Despite her historic performance on the biggest stage, however, Atlanta came up short once again, getting swept 3–0 for the second consecutive year.
