Dawn Staley is the only person to win the Naismith Award as both a player and a coach. She earned back-to-back Naismith College Player of the Year honors in 1991 and 1992 with the Virginia Cavaliers. Watch her incredible Final Four highlights as a player. After an extraordinary playing career, she went on to carve an even bigger legacy as a coach, claiming Naismith Coach of the Year four times (2020, 2022–24) with the South Carolina Gamecocks.
