The road to Phoenix starts tomorrow! Those days when we unknowingly plan our schedules (or at least our nights) around catching highlights of our favorite teams. And no matter how chaotic it gets, we secretly love every bit of it. This is a safe space….you can admit it. But before things tip off, the offseason seems to be wrapping up just the way it began - with two of our top coaches, Kim Mulkey and Dawn Staley. And just like last time, it’s Staley who’s taking the hit.

Kim Mulkey is a hometown hero through and through.
She grew up in Tickfaw, Louisiana, and first picked up a basketball at Nesom Middle School right there in her hometown. From there, she took her talents to Louisiana Tech, where she went on to win two national championships. And those titles were special for more reasons than one. Years later, the most successful player-turned-coach in college basketball history came home to Baton Rouge as LSU’s most accomplished head coaching hire ever and led the Tigers to their very first national title.

Last Game’s Result: Quite a lot of you couldn’t guess this one. Cathy Engelbert actually became the WNBA commissioner in 2019, not 2017.
And while many didn’t believe it (as this one got the most votes), the 2020 CBA did, in fact, provide maternity leave for players along with a $5,000 (£4,000) childcare stipend. Also yes, if the players hadn’t opted out, the current CBA would’ve run through 2027.
