If there’s one word that perfectly captures the strongest of the strong, it’s mother. The WNBA has long been home to some of the most powerful women balancing motherhood and the grind of pro basketball. Even as they spent Mother’s Day doing what they do best—hooping—they made it clear: this journey has shaped them in ways nothing else could.

Now, while the hugs and heartfelt posts had us a little teary, the preseason hustle kept things spicy. For some, the season is already wrapped. For others, the real work is just getting started.
