UConn now steps into a matchup Geno Auriemma believes will be full of uncertainties. Meanwhile, Gamecocks prepares to take on Queens. Check out the full schedule here.

On November 23, 2014, UConn women’s basketball quietly lit the fuse on a historic run. In a 96–60 home win over Creighton at Gampel Pavilion, the Huskies bounced back from a loss to notch the first game of what would become a 111-game winning streak, the longest all-games streak in NCAA Division I women’s basketball.
Breanna Stewart led the way with 25 points (on a perfect 10-for-10 shooting) and 10 boards. Freshman Kia Nurse, in her first career start, added 22 points, and Morgan Tuck, returning from major knee surgery, chipped in 15. UConn dominated inside, outscoring Creighton 44–8 in the paint, and shot 55% as a team while holding Creighton to just 35%.
This wasn’t just a statement game, it was a declaration of intent. That day marked the beginning of a dynasty-defining run, which came to a dramatic end in March 2017, when UConn’s streak was snapped at 111 games by Mississippi State on a buzzer-beating shot in overtime.
