Hey, Hoophead!

It’s been an NBA-meets-WNBA kind of week, the good, and the “interesting.” While some of our women stars joined forces for incredible feats, others got caught up in a bit of drama. Tuesday’s Poll Result: It was close. Many of you were 100% sure that CC is the defining star of the WNBA. However, by a slight margin, the vote leaned toward the league’s rise overall, rather than any particular star winning out.

Ole Miss came incredibly close to losing to unranked Memphis. Down by 13, they rallied late, forcing overtime, with Cotie McMahon contributing all around, even in clutch moments.

With barely 50 seconds left, the game was slipping away when McMahon had a strong layup attempt that just missed, but Christeen Iwuala’s quick reflexes turned the rebound into an offensive opportunity that McMahon converted for two points. But Ole Miss also had a shot at stealing the win that they let slip through their fingers, sending the game into overtime.

In the extra period, it was all Rebels.
