On October 22, 2003, Sonia Citron was born in White Plains, New York. She quickly emerged as one of women’s basketball’s brightest young stars. A standout at The Ursuline School, she earned national attention as a top high school recruit before committing to Notre Dame.

At Notre Dame, Citron made an immediate impact, earning ACC Rookie of the Year honors and later multiple First-Team All-ACC selections. Known for her versatility, she shone on both ends of the floor and helped lead the Fighting Irish to deep NCAA Tournament runs.
