New Era Incoming! Clark vs Bueckers, Round One

It all came down to this - Caitlin Clark had help. Paige Bueckers didn’t. On Sunday afternoon, with the last 3 No. 1 picks on the floor together, we witnessed round one of what’s bound to become the rivalry of a generation. Take the win and loss out for a second; watching PB & CC show out, we can definitely say that the future looks bright.
But when the buzzer rang, it was Indy who defended the home court. Clark lifted the Fever to a 102–83 win, dishing out 13 assists and scoring 14, including one absolutely insane dime to Sophie Cunningham right after blocking a shot on the other end. Just look at this crazy sequence!
Meanwhile, Paige led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting, hit two threes, added four boards, and four assists. Still, the Wings, already missing DiJonai Carrington, started unraveling in the second after the Fever jumped ahead. The biggest disappointment? Arike Ogunbowale, back in the lineup, went 0-10 from the field. And that just can’t happen when the Fever show up fully healthy.
Meanwhile, over in another sold-out game, the Valkyries cracked 100 points for the first time ever and still came up short. They lost by just two, but it took everything the Aces had to hold them off. A’ja Wilson went nuclear with 34 points and 16 rebounds because, well, she had to. Vegas couldn’t afford another L.
Still, not to forget what the Valks did. They came out blazing, hit nine threes in the first half, and led for most of it. The Aces only flipped the switch in the third and held on tight through the fourth.

Weekend’s Wildest Highlights: The Miracle Comeback!

Liberty’s third-quarter resurrection. It felt inevitable. The Liberty were headed toward their seventh loss. Brittney Griner, Allisha Gray, and Maya Caldwell were giving New York all kinds of trouble, pushing the Dream to a commanding 34-15 lead. But just when it felt like the night was lost, Breanna Stewart and Leonie Fiebich turned up the intensity.
Stewie anchored the comeback with her relentless hustle - rebounding, defending, scoring. But it was Fiebich’s fearless shot-making that got us and the crowd back into it. And then, like it was scripted, the Liberty’s spark plug Marine Johannès drained a smooth, crowd-erupting three in another gorgeous sequence, classic Liberty flair, to tie it at 49. The entire arena felt this shot!
The Liberty went on to close out the game with a 79-72 win, their most improbable victory of the season so far.
Rookies run the show. The Storm's inconsistency caught up with them. Despite their star talent, Seattle fell 74-69 to the Mystics. And while the final-quarter push was impressive, it was Washington’s rookies who owned the spotlight. Again.
None more than Kiki Iriafen. Early in the game, she came barreling into the paint, faced off with WNBA vet and 7x All-Defensive Team member, Nneka Ogwumike, and with the poise of a 10-year vet, pulled off a nasty spin move and scored. You need to see this!
Even the WNBA had to post it: “Kiki Iriafen said she’s no rookie.” With another dazzling double-double, she danced past legend Chamique Holdsclaw (6) with her seventh, now the most ever by a rookie in D.C. history.
That’s How It’s Done! Caitlin Clark on Her Friendship With Paige Bueckers

✨ She Got Glam! ✨
Caitlin Clark showed up in a suit, ready to handle business against Paige Bueckers & Co., and she did just that. But we can't deny that it was a great battle. Their first pro showdown played out just how you’d expect: two stars showing out, both making their mark. By the end, the history books were the ones taking notes. Check how they rewrote history!

Dubs in the Chat! For One Night, the Streaks Broke Their Silence

Two teams broke free from their narratives. In Chicago, it felt like Angel Reese had already won before the first whistle. A packed Wintrust Arena, energy through the roof, and that “it’s her night” feeling floating in the air, thanks to each and every fan in the arena getting Reese’s NBA 2K26 shirts. And she delivered - again.
With yet another double-double (are we even surprised anymore?), Reese and the Sky took down the league-best Minnesota Lynx, 87-81. Ariel Atkins was cooking too, and Kamilla Cardoso made sure the paint stayed locked down. The Skyscrapers combined for 36 points and 26 rebounds! There’s no denying that this has been Angel’s month so far. Just look at these numbers!
The Lynx did come storming back in the third, but it wasn’t enough. It was a stamp on an old message: No team is unbeatable, period.
Meanwhile, out west in L.A., it finally happened. The Sparks ended that streak. You know, the one that dated all the way back to 2020? Yes, their regular-season drought against the Sun is officially over. Still, that might not be the best news being celebrated in the locker room right now. It’s something they (and we) all have been desperately waiting for.
With a gutsy 92-88 win, L.A. held it down with four of their starters hitting double digits. Even when Connecticut kept coming, the Sparks refused to fold. The energy was tight in the fourth, but Dearica Hamby’s late-game defense came clutch. After years of being on the wrong side of the storyline, the Sparks finally got their dub.
